Privacy
Short version: we measure how many people visit, not who they are.
What we measure
When you open a page on this site we record the kind of page it was (a salon page, a search, a booking page), how long it was visible, and a one-way code that lets us count you once instead of twice. That is the whole record.
- No cookies, no local storage, and nothing at all is kept on your device. That is why you have not been asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
- We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string. They are used to compute the counting code and then discarded.
- That code is salted with a secret that changes every day and is tied to the specific salon you were looking at. Visiting two salons produces two unrelated codes, and yesterday's code cannot be matched to today's — by us or by anyone else.
- We never record the address of the page you came from, anything in the URL after a
?, or any advertising parameter. - Raw measurements are deleted after 90 days.
Who sees it
A salon owner sees totals for their own pages — how many people visited, how long they stayed, how many booked. They never see who you are, which pro you booked, or anything about your appointment. Your booking details belong to the professional you booked with.
When you book
Booking is different from browsing: to hold an appointment we need your name, email, and optionally your phone, and we share them with the professional you are booking. We use them to confirm, remind, and let you cancel or reschedule — nothing else. Marketing messages require a separate opt-in, and every one of them can be stopped from the message itself.
Opting out
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it and measure nothing. California residents may also ask us for a copy of what we hold about them, or ask us to delete it — write to us and we will, keeping only what the law requires us to keep.
